Had a lot of issues trying to “dial in” my 10W laser. Between varying thicknesses in material and not being able to fully get the cuts through on several passes, I was getting discouraged. I decided to upgrade to the 20W and have never looked back. This brought me a whole new love for this machine and an excitement I hadn’t had prior.
Afther i recive finaly the 20 watts láser , this came incomplet. One part that explícity appears on the manual doesnt came on the box. O contact to support and the Say that i can use the láser whith the part of the old one the 10 watts láser. This si not correcto.
New to hobby lasers I had a couple cheap systems before I decided on the Xtool. As a former industrial laser technician I can honestly say this is a Great system, made complete with the 20W upgrade. Perfect for the budget, great in operation, and simple. Only one flaw I see (hear) is the noisy laser cooling fan but once I build an enclosure that annoyance will be minimized. I highly recommend it.
At first I was hesitant to pay the extra, it seemed a little steep compared to the rest of the purchase. All I can say is I’m glad I did. This diode laser cuts and engraves like a dream. Awesome tool.
Being the 20 diode is so new, I know it may take time to update your website. You currently have the settings for the 5 & 10 W diode, but not the 20.
I know settings are recommendations, but it would be great to have a 'starting point.'
The attached tile was our first successful practice piece. I would have loved it not to have taken almost 5 hours, but we'll continue to work through.
