The 5W IR (1064 nm) laser is designed for metal marking/engraving with crisp detail and depth on most metals, including: stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium alloys, plated metals, anodized aluminum, gold, silver, and platinum.
F2 currently works exclusively with xTool Studio (formerly XCS). It does not support LightBurn at this time.
xTool Studio runs on Windows and macOS, and combines design, layout, parameter settings, and machine control in one beginner-friendly app.
I was completely amazed by how well it handles logo burning on a T-shirt and engraving extremely small RC parts. Awesome machine.

This is the cleanest laser burn I have ever used. The IR is great on glass and metal biz cards, super sharp, and the diode is really good too. The camera lets you easily line up your work image with no problem. Only been running for 2 days now, but so far I love it
I run a Ray5 20-watt, and the detail is nowhere near as clean as this F2, plus this camera works right on point. My Ray5 is always off a little
I just received my first ever xTool item! And my very first laser engraver of any type!
I absolutely love the Studio software, and the machine was easy to learn and use right out of the box.
The quality of packaging and shipping materials was also great.
The website and manuals have outstanding grammar and vocabulary. (I was expecting to see Asian to English conversion mistakes, but I have not.)
I only have one big suggestion. Since they supply a small pack of different startup materials, it would be nice if xTool included example projects already loaded for each of the example materials supplied. Along with walkthrough for each. They only include the welcome one for a single metal business card.
I am looking forward to years of successful projects with xTool and their machines!
Massive update in user experience compared to the F1. Very easy to use with the expected quality. I didn’t expect the camera update would be so usefull.
