xTool was born from the Maker Movement. So we give back— by dedicating 1% of our profits to creators everywhere. Even today, far too many students, kids, and underserved communities still don’t have access to maker tools. We’re here to change that. We bring creativity to the places that need it most.
Parnters in Creativity:
Co-shaping the Future of Making
“Together with xTool and the global Fab Lab network, we're unlocking creativity, expanding opportunity, and building a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.”
“We're excited to see xTool's innovative tools reaching more educators and makers. xTool is helping more people bring their ideas to life and inspiring the next generation of inventors.”
Our Impact So Far
Since our launch on September 8, 2025, 1% for the Makers has reached thousands of learners and creators in just 3 months — and the impact continues to grow.

Real Projects, Proven Innovation
MIT CBA
MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms used the xTool MetalFab to design and mill custom replacement parts for an aging bicycle—combining rapid prototyping with precision metal fabrication. This project shows how simple digital fabrication can revive everyday objects and help students tackle real engineering challenges.
Super Fab Lab Kerala integrated the xTool F1 Ultra into two practical learning modules: stencil-making for student design projects and laser soldering for fast, clean electronic assembly. These activities highlight how xTool helps learners bridge the gap between theory and real-world engineering.
Applicants must be accredited community institutions (schools, nonprofits, makerspaces) with a safe, accessible space, a clear need, and a strong plan for meaningful impact with xTool.

Yes. 1% for the Makers is a global program. We encourage eligible organizations from around the world to apply.
Donations are tailored to the needs and plans of the recipient organization. They typically consist of one of our flagship laser cutters or engravers, such as the xTool P2S or S1.
The equipment and access to our educational resources are provided free of charge to selected recipients. Organizations are responsible for providing a suitable space, any necessary site preparations, and ongoing operational costs.
Beyond the hardware, you gain access to our comprehensive support ecosystem. This includes technical support from the xTool team, a library of tutorials and projects, professional development webinars, and an invitation to our educator community to connect with peers.
Our review committee evaluates applications based on demonstrated need, the strength and clarity of the proposed vision, the potential for community impact, and the organization's capacity to successfully implement their program.
We accept and review applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. There is no fixed deadline, allowing organizations to apply when they are ready.
We are deeply inspired by the Pledge 1% movement and its mission to embed social impact into the DNA of all businesses. We have adopted its spirit by dedicating our resources—including our products, time, and network—to empower the global maker community.
