FAQ
It depends on what you print and how often you print.
For small, light-coverage projects such as stickers, labels, cake toppers, and greeting card decorations, one set of CMYK ink cartridges can typically support several hundred prints. With regular craft use, it may last around 2–3 months.
For large full-color photos, or designs with heavy color coverage, ink will be used faster. Under high-frequency use, one set of cartridges may last around 1–2 months.
If your designs use colors relatively evenly, the CMYK cartridges will usually be consumed more evenly. If you frequently print designs that rely heavily on one specific color, that cartridge may run out faster.
M2 ink cartridges will be available for pre-order on the xTool official website first and are expected to arrive around mid July. Please check the product page for the latest updates.
No. The CMYK module uses water-based ink. Printed colors may smudge or bleed when exposed to water, so we do not recommend washing printed items.
Yes. The ink used in the M2 CMYK module is designed to be safe for skin-contact applications. When used with temporary tattoo paper, the ink is printed onto the tattoo paper, while the tattoo film is the layer that contacts your skin.
xTool will also launch temporary tattoo paper with skin-contact safety certification on our official store. Stay tuned.
