Steve's Investment to Income: How the xTool F1 Laser Engraver Paid for Itself (Fast!)

About the Author

Hello, I'm Steven De Leon, the owner of Moonlight Custom Engravers. With a collection of high-quality lasers, including the portable xTool F1, we bring precision and artistry to every project we undertake. We specialize in creating exquisite custom wood, acrylic, and metal pieces through the art of engraving. Whether it's a special gift, a unique decor item, or a personalized accessory, xTool F1 turns your ideas into beautifully engraved creations.

I have an F1 laser engraver, and I started making money as soon as I took it to my first show. I believe it took me about 4 months to earn back the money for the F1 plus all the accessories, and I only do 1-2 shows a month. I still use my F1 at every show I do.

Portability Pays Off

When I'm at a show, I engrave mini tumblers and lots of coasters, and those are my hot sellers. I make about $1,000 a month, and I could make more if I did more shows. At the time, I only had the xTool D1 Pro 20W, then I purchased the F1. I have other lasers now, but my go-to is the F1 for its portability.

The F1 definitely helps me make money, and I don't know what I would do without it. People love watching me engrave items on-site, and it's a huge draw for my booth. The ability to offer customized, instant-gratification products has been a game-changer for my business.

Fast Return on Investment

The F1 has paid for itself many times over, and I'm able to recoup the cost of the machine and accessories within just a few months. The time savings and increased productivity have been invaluable, allowing me to take on larger projects and fulfill orders more efficiently.

A Powerful Tool for Business Growth

Overall, the F1 has been an essential tool in growing my business and providing unique, personalized products to my customers. I can't imagine going back to my old setup without the F1. It's a game-changer, and I'm so glad I invested in it.
